Mary and Joseph left Jesus in Jerusalem when He was twelve years old. Think about that for a moment. Jesus, the Savior of the World, the Son of God, is entrusted into your care…and you lose Him. This is not a good thing. Not at all. And yet, how often do we encounter Jesus and then lose Him almost as quickly?
Jesus was with His parents at the Passover Feast. Passover was like one of the conferences we have now. We attend conferences expecting to have an encounter with Jesus. We have Him with us during the conference. Then, when we return to our homes and resume our lives, we lose Him. Or, more to the point, we leave Him there. And then we wonder why things in our lives are not changing.
Jesus is meant to be the center of all things. When you get saved, it is called “Accepting Jesus into your Heart.” The heart is the center of your life. Without your heart, you die. It is the same with Jesus. He is the life and the answer to all things. As Him questions; He will answer.
When you look for Jesus, you will find Him. He really is not too hard to locate. Jesus is always in His house. He is never where He is not. You will always find Him in His House.
So, take Jesus with you and see what He can do to change your life.
